How to Get a Duplicate Electricity Bill in Pakistan

Updated Β· 4 min read

If your bill did not arrive or you lost it, you can usually see a copy online. This guide explains the steps in general terms. Websites change, so check the official page you are sent to.

Step 1: find your reference number

It is printed at the top of a paper bill. Distribution companies of the WAPDA group, such as LESCO, FESCO, IESCO, GEPCO, MEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO and TESCO, use a 14-digit reference number. If you have no old bill, ask the landlord, a neighbour on the same account, or your company's helpline.

Step 2: open the official page

Go to your company's official bill page. Check the address bar carefully, and never type your reference number or any payment detail on a look-alike site. A reference number only shows a bill, but a fake site may ask for more.

Step 3: view, download or print

Enter the number (the site may ask you to choose your company, and to type a code shown in a picture). The bill appears on screen, and a button lets you save it as a PDF or print it. Many official pages also show the previous months.

Keep a record

Our bill tracker opens the official page for you and keeps the number, amount and units of every month you add. It does not fetch bills automatically, because the official pages do not allow other websites to do that.

Paying

You can normally pay a duplicate bill at a bank, a mobile wallet or a banking app using the same reference number. Keep the payment receipt until the next bill shows it.
