Plan it line by line
Type what each item costs for one person. The tool multiplies by the number of travellers, adds your safety margin and shows the grand total, the cost per person and the monthly saving needed. If you already have some savings, enter them and the plan shows only what is left.
Saving smartly
- Get two or three quotes before you fix the numbers.
- If prices are quoted in another currency, convert them with the currency converter.
- Turn the monthly figure into a plan with the savings goal calculator.
- Pay any Zakat that is due before you go: see the Zakat calculator.
Use Save to keep your plan in your account notes so you can come back and update it.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Umrah or Hajj cost?
It varies a lot with the season, your country, hotel distance and package. Use quotes from approved travel agents and put them into the lines here instead of relying on a fixed number.
What costs should I include?
Flights, visa and service fees, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, local transport, food, gifts, vaccinations and insurance, and any Hajj-specific costs such as the sacrifice (Qurbani/Dam). The safety margin covers price changes and surprises.
How big should the safety margin be?
Many travellers add 10 to 15 percent for exchange-rate changes, extra shopping and delays.
How does the monthly saving work?
It is the remaining amount (total minus what you have already saved) divided by the months left. Use the savings goal calculator to add expected profit or a committee.
Can I pay for Hajj with borrowed money?
Hajj is obligatory only for those who can afford it without hardship, and ideas differ about loans. Please ask a scholar about your situation.
