How to crop a PDF
Add your PDF, set how much to trim from the top, bottom, left and right, and check the shaded preview. The clear area is what you keep. Press Crop and download to save the trimmed pages.
When cropping is useful
- Scans with wide, grey or dirty borders.
- Slides or screenshots saved as PDF with extra white space.
- Cutting off a header or footer you do not need before printing.
Important: cropping hides, it does not erase
A cropped PDF shows only the new area, but the cut-off content can still exist inside the file. If you need to remove private details for good, use Redact PDF. For crooked pages try Rotate PDF first.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The page is previewed and cropped inside your browser.
How is the crop measured?
In percent of the page, from each edge. 10 percent on the left cuts a tenth of the page width from the left side. The same percentages are used on every page.
Does cropping delete the content I cut off?
The visible page is reduced to the new area. The content outside it is hidden in standard PDF viewers, so do not rely on cropping to remove sensitive information. Use Redact PDF for that.
Can I crop only some pages?
Yes. Type the pages, or leave the box empty to crop all pages.
Why does the preview show only the first page?
It shows the first page you cropped to help you judge the margins. The same percentages apply to all selected pages.
