What the numbers mean

Your current attendance is attended divided by held. If you are below the required percentage, the tool tells you how many classes in a row you must attend to get back to the target. If you are above it, it tells you how many classes you can still miss without dropping below.

Plan with classes remaining

If you know how many classes are left this term, enter that number. The calculator shows the minimum you must attend of the remaining classes and the best final percentage you could still reach. Pair this with the marks percentage calculator and GPA calculator to plan your term, or count school days with the working days calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How is attendance percentage calculated?

Attendance % = (classes attended ÷ classes held) × 100. If you attended 28 of 40 classes, your attendance is 70%.

How many classes do I need to attend to reach 75%?

If you attend every upcoming class, you need x more classes where (attended + x) ÷ (held + x) ≥ 75%. The calculator solves that for you and rounds up. With 28 of 40 you need 8 more in a row.

How many classes can I miss and still keep 75%?

It is the largest number m so that attended ÷ (held + m) is still at least 75%. With 34 of 40 attended you can miss 5 more classes (34 ÷ 45 = 75.6%).

What if there are a fixed number of classes left?

Enter the remaining classes. The tool then shows the minimum you must attend out of those remaining, and tells you if the target is no longer reachable.

Does this match my school's rule?

Rules differ: some count medical leave or duty leave as present, and some round up. Use this as a guide and confirm the exact policy with your institution.
